What happens on clearance day
On the day itself the work follows a set order. We start by confirming what is marked to be kept, then work room by room – usually beginning furthest from the door so nothing has to be moved twice. Items are sorted as we go into keep, donate, sell, recycle and waste, rather than being piled up and dealt with later.
Most normal-sized flats are finished within a day. If the flat is being handed back to a landlord, a move-out cleaning finishes the job so it is ready for inspection. To see what happens to everything afterwards, read what happens to the items, or see our service pages for apartment clearance and junk removal.
